Unzip the file somewhere on your machine to try a demo of the Dynamics Live Assistant. The zip contains two executables. The first, ConsoleHost.exe, is a console application which may be used to converse with the DLA. To run it, just start it up and start typing. The second, CommunicatorHost.exe, is a Windows service that logs into Office Communications Server 2007 using a SIP account and can be corresponded with over Office Communicator. To run it, do "installutil -i CommunicatorHost.exe", then start up the Windows service named "Dynamics Live Assistant".

The only conversation handler configured by default with this release is the "general" conversation handler which just answers things like "hello", "goodbye" and "how are you". Additional conversation handlers are coming, and I'm working on documentation for creating your own handlers.

Configuration of the DLA is controlled through the .config files. This includes everything from which conversation handlers are installed, what settings are used for those handlers, and which account should be used when logging into Office Communications Server with the CommunicatorHost.exe program.
